The World Was Off

by Kaitlin   Sep 9, 2011

She said there is nothing like a daydream,
A striking chord to change the scene,
And she just danced on and on,
And that day the world was off, the world was off

He said it's got to mean something just to be,
A reason to come and to go, more than what we see,
And he just walked on and on,
And that day the world was off, the world was off

HE said, there has got to be more for fighting for,
A purpose for this past, and a future meaning more,
And he just looked on, and on
And that day the world was off, the world was off

She said there is nothing sweeter than steel,
A reason to go deeper, a reason to feel,
And she just cut on and on,
And that day the world was off, the world was off

He said there has to be a meaning to this feeling,
A need for this beating, a need for reeling,
And he just cried on and on
And that day the world was off, the world was off

She said there is nothing like a daydream,
A striking chord, an altered scene,
And she just moved on and on and on
Until that day she turned the world on.
