I Need To Slow Down

I'll sit here and watch
As the rain drops will race
Across my window, growing with distance
The speed is going sky high
As I grip at my seat in anticipation
With the air grasping against my chest
My fingernails are digging deeper
While acceleration pours into my veins
All the while, hoping I will survive
