Lay my life before my love;
What distance cannot separate.
To rest my temple upon her crown,
Enchants my life and love alike.
I still recall the motions made;
As time would place you in my arms.
Your beauty; sublimity's highest grade,
No words can tell you what you are.
Or what you'll be; all light to me.
Through shades of blue or black or green;
No reason sought; nor "needed" rhyme.
For love needs none of these to thrive.
A blade of grass under the rose;
Myself to me, as unto you.
Or so I see, of you, view flows;
My definite love, in self be true.
These words so true, are from my heart.
Though finite words are as our lives.
For these words end, just as they start.
But their meaning, infinite, is as our ties.
Through life, this love you've given me,
Is more than my life used to be.
This love that lives, began in May.
This love in us; is sure to stay.
