The Golden End

by Nick G   Oct 6, 2011

I'm the happiest little man that you ever will meet
A simple human being standing on his own two feet
I enjoy my coffee black, nothing too sweet
I don't do much, just walk, sleep, talk and eat

I don't have it all and thats just fine
I watch my feet, try to stay in line
You have yours and I have mine
Single file now, so none of us shine

I'm just a normal guy, who sticks to the plan
No longer a boy but shaped into a man
Just another piece of the puzzle who does what he can
From start to finish, its all the same how we began

Through man and wife, thats how we bred
Our final hours reflect the life we have led
The hard work, labor and blood we have shed
Are nothing compared to the road that lies ahead

Ive done my part, now its your turn friend
To learn in turn to walk, run, fight and defend
Let time run its course and you shall transcend
And one day you too shall meet a golden end.
