Night Fall

by ntv650   Oct 6, 2011

Once again the night has come,
To rob me of my sleep.
There are no voices, there is only song,
And the words that must come
When mind to inspiration yields.

Though the body wants to go,
Become unconscious.
A liberated mind refuses to leave,
And now both must go
To where the whole can meet.

Like running in the dark,
When all is silent.
When streetlamps are scattered,
Like modern candles
That try to lead.

On and on the push must go
And when to the limit I come,
There I shall stand upon the brink,
Of light and dim and darkness,
And fall.
