Masked romance

by The Po whet   Oct 10, 2011

If I say she is sacred
that's blasphemy,
ahem to that.
she is an enigma,
understanding her is like
trying to unravel a cryptic puzzle
or
playing a game of chess against its' prodigy.
for her I've tried
everything and anything
all in the name of love,

in her name.
I brought her roses but she said they were better off in the garden.
I sang for her a love song
but in the middle of me singing my heart out to her
she succumbed to slumber.
I wrote her a love poem
she read then exclaimed
"wow!,this is amazing
so who's the author?
I'm sure it can't be you"
what could I say!
I've been brave enough for her,
protecting her whenever
still she says
"I love superman,he rocks".
yesterday we passed by "love avenue"
instead of quenching my burning desire
with a tender baiser
she complained
"the traffic is moving slow,
can't we take the train?"
in a dream my heart chased her's
it stopped then asked her's
"won't you give up just yet?"
her's answered
"are you kidding me?
wait till you see me fly."

*baiser-french for a kiss.
