Day Dream

by David Longe   Oct 12, 2011

As I lay here late at night, with thoughts I cannot fight, I think of you in the summer night, wishing things would turn out right.
Now's the time I start to feel, if anything we have is real, I try so hard to make you proud, but I just can not leave this cloud.
This cloud of fears in my mind, that keeps me floating high, high above the world i'm in, with thoughts of failure in my head.
I try to change the way I am, to make you proud of me again. In the end when night turns to day, I look at the light in a different way.
I see myself in a new horizon, beneath the clouds I once was in, praying to God that I can begin, begin this day with love and joy.
But as I wake from this dream, all I do is think of you, wishing we could start anew.
