No Such One

by BENandBETH   Oct 19, 2011

Mary was a poor girl
Living in a rich world.
Her daddy's yelling at her
It makes her mamma cry.

Shes been looking for a new man
One that might understand,
But she doesn't want a true love
Just a man to tell her lies.

He left her in a cold storm.
Running out of her door,
He left her with the baby
That never had a chance.

She's getting sick of waiting
For anything worth laying
Down her only life for,
Is there anything that good?

Soon she comes to realize
She never needed to cry.
If she could be the strong one
It wouldn't be her fault.

Sadly that was dizzy dreaming
Now she busy sinking
While her parents read the note that says
"I won't be home tonight"

There's no hero in the sky,
No.
No one to teach us how to fly,
No.
No one that doesn't worry about the past
Or always puts themselves last.
No.

There's no such one.
