Rise Against

by Imortalrain   Oct 19, 2011

Hear in my head the screaming,
feel in my heart the breaks,
sift through my soul,
feel it's aching.
Give me hold of your tiny hands,
let me have and hold
onto every sad little smile,
cherish every small happy noise,
and let me know that while you are here...
you are happy.

God hear my prayers,
by which name do I call for you?
Hear my voice, it's crying,
my thoughts...they are slowly dying.
So scared I don't know how to speak
believe me, believe us all!
We love them, our little children.
Hear our voices, they all call to you!
Hear our begging, our pleading
just give us one chance,
and please, please god, forgive us the lives we lead!

We are told you made us,
we live lives you have given to us,
our children, your children
we may hold in our arms,
Why must we let go?
If we trust in you, why do you not trust in us?
Will you cherish our little angels?
Their smiles, every noise of happiness...
will it mean to you as it does to us?
