Still Searching

by jd10   Oct 21, 2011

Crawling through the motions, is this life?
Waiting for the very thing we need-to pass us by?
Where nothing is as empty as being full of nothing
Rushing only to be late
Hoping only to be disappointed
Guided by the voice of reason
Only to be crushed by its apathy
Yet we choose to persevere despite the pain of perseverance
Constantly searching for the thing that shows our teeth; wrinkles our cheeks.
are we very far now?
Only when this journey turns inward
When we tear through our cracks
Fight through our shells
Do we get closer and closer.
Only to realize something so close has never been further.
Do we have a good ending, isnt it selfish to even care?
Yet we strive, with the veneer of strength and health,
a bigger lie has never been told.
