Neon Chalk

by juliet   Oct 25, 2011

In darkness we seethe with might
As we mix and blanket the pale
To make them truly bright
This is our tale

In ways that we can only spell
In disparity of how you would speak
So here we will tell
We smolder with every leak

In the soft of the moon among night
We gleam with every exhale
One does in our light
We will cover you with our veil

In the trait of our own
We mask the ones in the dark
For our distinction is unknown
To ones shameful of our mark

Our eyes full of power
As you twist and turn
Soon you shall be devoured
Maybe then you shall learn

Before we say with a farewell
Your color looking rather meek
A sprinkle will make you rather belle
As will a devious streak

Your eyes show such a sight of assail
For you dwell on our little tweak
Prone we are with a gentle spark

We are cloaking
We are choking

Even if one is remind
To your simple minds

Much as a simple sin
We stick upon skin
