I prayed to the Moon
that she illume my path.
I asked her to walk alongside me,
and share every moment of weakness.
I demanded of the Moon her light,
so that every moment spent with you, felt new.
I asked her to shine her incandescence
so that I will always remember your face, those bright eyes, and that amazing smile.
I pleaded her to help me incarcerate every detail,
so that we can later recall your memory together.
I demanded to the Moon
to loan me her radiance,
so that you might fall in love with me.
She just asked for one thing in return.
That i love you with the same intensity as she.
