The Dance

by Jeremy S Farley   Oct 26, 2011

Snowflakes fall through the evergreens
She prances like a winter dryad
Amongst the trees
As comfortable as can be
Happily she dances, an icy queen
Her smile warms me, inviting
Her skin so white, as the snow itself
Spinning beneath the evergreens
Her hair twirls dizzily, dark,
Cradling the snowflakes, sparkling
Hide and seek beneath the trees
Brown eyes welcoming
Beautifully she beckons me
Her arms to cradle me
And still the snow keeps falling
