The water's edge

by theory of the loser   Nov 3, 2011

Every night I think of you,
Underneath the sky so blue,
I am at the water's edge you see,
waiting for you though, that isn't my destiny,

Though wait for you I must,
because my love for you, it will never be lost,
So on the rivers edge I sit and wait,
creating my bed, Where I'll sleep in wait,
for a man to be, where this boy now stands in back of me,

for once he grows then he will see,
there is so much more than beauty,
and beauty is usually only skin deep,

The man he will be is the man I am waiting for,
he'll show his worth, when he holds me once more,
So I stay his friend,
and lay in wait, for this to be man to come and find me,

Every night I think of you,
at the edge where the sky and water are so blue,
hoping for you to be the man I need.
