Forgotten Stars

by aminath   Nov 4, 2011

Sorrow,

Fall as raindrops

Splattering on wet grass

Forgotten stars

On abandoned greens

They touch the stalk, slender

Lips brushing against

The cheek of weeds, tender

Hurt whispers secrets

In hollow ears

Singing a lullaby

"Hush baby hush"

Masking the pain

Swallowing the bitterness

Down the drain

Morphine tranquilizers

Help the tears refrain

Until gradually

Indifference retaliates

As rain clouds dismiss

Another tale

Only memories, remain
