Yeah...we always wait for someone to take the first step/action rather then we doing it..a short message that makes the reader think!

    I agree ^
So many times we are afraid of taking action and being the first in line but the world would be some little better if we all be leaders instead of followers.

A really short yet thought provoking piece,
I loved the wording as it was strong yet understandable
    and the flow was unbeatable

    A great piece
    love

This one is quite interesting, perhaps a s...... on the way of things in PnQ (just my interpretation). My sincere apologies for my unschooled interpretation:

Drone=a person who lives off the work of others, a metaphor derived from the male bee (whose sole purpose is to mate the queen and live off the work of others, or essentially a "lazy bum").

Sycophants=A servile self-seeker who attempts to win favor by flattering influential people.

Well, those 2 words speak a volume for themselves.... of what is in this verse. But, what about all the other hard "workers" (small insignificant worker bees) who get to write out their hearts, get recognized (nominated) for their hard work by fellow worker bees at times, some very deserving, only to learn that they got beat out by the queen bee, or her friends, every single time. No appreciation by the Queen or her sisters/brothers whatsoever, for the worker bees, for the labor of love, that gave her the throne and the beehive for her clan to rule.

Well I like this one, says a lot, so here goes my first nomination of the week, for "ignorance is bliss" sometimes for some fools like me, who always believe in fairness, equality and justice for all.

Wow.. I am really impressed in the way you structured those empowering words to deliver the simple message you wanted to deliver.

And, omg, A Lonely Soul's comment is very powerful.. I don't know, if what you meant in the poem is exactly as he interpreted, then I'm really amazed.. Great, great.

^ A lonely soul, nailed it.

    Apathy permeates minds-

    Apathy-
absence or suppression of passion, emotion, or excitement or lack of interest in or concern for things that others find moving or exciting.

Apathy pervades or spreads through the mind, constructing indifference. Apathy is a characteristic response of any individual when he/she is subjected to stimuli too intense or too complicated to cope with, which could lead to a clouded judgement.

    drones replace thinkers.

Drone like the above comment defines - a person who lives off the work of others, a metaphor derived from the male bee (whose sole purpose is to mate the queen and live off the work of others. Although bees have an ordained schematic of work force and such. Thus their system is justified.

Drone bees literally make no honey, that is why they are called lazy workers. In reference to a so called civilized society, a group of lazy individual replace innovative minds and hamper growth.

    Sycophants join the herd,
    complaining all the while.

Sycophants - A servile self-seeker who attempts to win favor by flattering influential people.

Need one say more?. the list of sycophants could involve politicians, campaign executioners, or any citizen. Camouflage and decapitate the oblivious mob.

    Waiting for others, the leaders
    to take action.

In fear people turn to those who assure refuge from all the haywire, the politicians and the leaders who promise sanctuary, an alibi for solitary confinement. They sting back, leading to apathy.

Exquisite vocabulary and a marvelous attempt. Stellar.

Sad but true commentary on the apathy paralysis that engulfs the world and politics. Well said!

That's the reality of today's world. Reminds of politicians mostly because of the current situation of our country. Very powerful write and beautifully worded.
