Sonnet #3

by Sid Quinsaat   Nov 8, 2011

I'm sitting here and staring at the door.
I'm at the place you talked to me that time.
And since that time it sounds still louder more:
The ringing in my ear “your name“sublime.

If I could spend eternity right here,
I'd hide behind the safety of my screen.
But only faces I don't know appear,
And not the one to make my heart serene.

I long for you with every step I take.
You are the reason that I live my days.
The deepest dreams in me you but awake.
The darkest storms within, your name allays.

I will not leave until we meet again
I'll sit here steadfast waiting, Ah! But When?
