When forever ends

by cierra   Nov 13, 2011

I have seen your tears fall,
And held back mine all the while.
I have witnessed your greatest fears,
And faced them for you with a smile.
I have worshiped your joy,
And stood in the dark.
I have withstood your anger,
And smothered my own spark.

I know you hopes.
I know your dreams.
I heard your whimpers.
I heard your screams.
I waited, hopeful, for love.
I waited, afraid, for hate.
I saw you fall defeated.
I saw you rage against fate.

You are an open book to me;
My forever and only.
Yet dare you say,
One painful day,
That you are too good,
To slum with my brood.
You broke my heart;
Tore the pieces apart

Here I am today,
Standing on my own.
I have no fear of another,
For now I have grown.
I knew you best,
And I still do.
All I can say...
Is to hell with you.
