Dallas and Jacob

by Hollow Face   Nov 27, 2011

I am shard of a heart
missing my other fragment.
But I sense it drawing ever closer
my shattered soul is slowly being remedied
by a single fragment of it,
burnt beyond repair.

Billows of smoke
rise from my burning ashes
as I slowly combust
from loss of love.
But someone finds me,
though I remain burnt forever,
he heals my charred heart.

As my fully healed soul
drifts closer to yours
I feel that
for once
I have found home and heart.

Fireworks erupt in jubilant rejoice
as we become one
forever, storm or shine
under a blanket of stars
our hearts are combined
out of true, pure love

When we are together
my heart beats ever faster
we lean closer together
in the ever present sunset,
knowing that we will always be
for we can't stop what we have begun
and our two hearts become one
under the dying sun.
