Immortals

by Silent Regrets   Dec 6, 2011

We have lived forever
Before the time of your ancestors
Before their ancestors ancestor's
We have lived forever

We cant die
We're immune to pain
You cant hurt us
We're immortal

Living forever
Watching life pass us by
Our loved ones dying
One by one

We stay the same
Never aging
Young forever
Our hearts filled with sorrow

Centuries pass
Then millenniums
A new age has come
Pushing out the old

We embrace the new world
Our minds filling with knowledge
Bring the old and new together
We embrace the new world

And after all this time
We watch over our descendents
Careful to never reveal ourselves
Making sure they live

Live as we cannot
Age as we cannot
Die as we cannot
It is a curse

Watching from the shadows
We do our best to guide
To lead the way
Alone, on our own

Soon, one day
Our time will come
And we will gladly go
To be rescued from our cursed lived-out lives.
