What Being Strong Meens

by Jess   Dec 14, 2011

Regardless of what they all think,
never mind the things they say.

I am damn strong.

I may not bench five hundred pounds,
or squat ten times my weight.

Excuse me honey,
but that doesn't make you any better.

I am strong in my heart,
I'd like to see you go through
half the troubles I have.

I'd like to see you loose
everything you love,
and see how you feel
and how hard it is to hold on.

Try and live on your own,
at seventeen years old.

I'd love to stay and chat
about all the records you broke,
and how you are the strongest
kid in school, I really would.

Except when you come off
calling me weak and worthless,
without knowing my story
or what life I have lived.

Sweetie,
that is so low.

I'm sorry, I'll never be like you.
Personally, I don't really want to.

In my heart I know
I'm the one who is stronger,
no need to argue or bloat.

words unsaid are worth more;
than the words you speak daily.

[I know this is not good, but i just had to let off some steam]

God Bless You All :)

No Jessi. Actually that was really bold and empowering. I like your stressful tone.
