ROSE OF MY DARKEST WINTER

by Dr sarat sonowal   Dec 14, 2011

There! Right there....can you see?

Across the bridge and under the sky
There lies the garden and the fountain that cries
There the flowers are beautiful and bright
yet they cry solemnly for the rose that doesn't smile..

There is unrest among the flowers
They look for the clues to unlock the answer
Yet they fail to understand why the rose doesn't smile

It's a story about a young boy who would always smile
He would play in the garden
Hide behind the fountain
Smile like the sun at far
He would talk to the rose
And make her smile
And would tell her
'You are my rose of my darkest winter'
He would look after her everyday
Water her, protect her from the alien stares and frost bites
She was his muse, lover and girlfriend
And now as he is dead and soul up aligning with stars
Rose is now dead without her love
Who would always care and smile for her

There is unrest among the flowers
They look for the clues to unlock the answer
Yet they fail to understand why the rose doesn't smile
It's a story about a young boy who would always smile

There! Right there...can you see?
She is my rose
Rose of my darkest winter
