MY DREAM

by terry   Jan 2, 2012

I once had a dream
That I was on a mountain top
Surrounded by mountain tops
Each one with thousands of souls on it
And on each mountain top
Was a prophet
Saying, follow me
Believe in me, I can deliver you
To the Promised Land
All of these souls
Wanted,
No,
Needed,
Someone, something, to believe in
And they followed their prophet
Off of the mountain top
Into a great abyss
Never to find
The Promised Land.
In my dream a voice spoke
Saying
Be no prophet
Just be a man,
That tells of a man
That was sent by god, His father.
And if these souls
Will put that trust
Their trust, and their faith
In him
they can truly find
that promised land.
And then, in my dream
He laid his hands upon my head
and said, teach my children
to believe
Show them the way
home.
But when I awoke
I put the dream aside.
And now I wonder
How many souls will fall
Into that abyss
While I wait
To follow
My dream.

Not quiet sure. I think it depends from person to person wether to believe or not. But if you were told in your dream to teach others to believe then may be that's what you have to do. But perhaps there is someone in particular and not everyone. I don't know. Good piece.
