I Will Wait

by Roronoa Zoro   Jan 9, 2012

I sit here at night
Staring into an endless abyss
Wondering if I will ever be lucky enough to call you my own
But I think I would staring forever
I have a photograph of us in my wallet
I want to talk to you everyday
But I feel like I am bothering you
When I am with you I feel happy
Like no one ever could
I dug my grave along time ago
But you pulled me backed up when others pushed me back in
I hope your happy with him
But if anything changes and things do not work out
I will be the first one waiting by your doorstep
Should I be happy you're my friend?
Or sad because that is all you will ever be?

I think that the title already gives an hint what this poem will be about, which is always good. It does not tell too much and it actually made me curious too.
Also the emotions seem very heartfelt though I have to admit that I do not like the format too much (Mainly because some lines are way longer than others). I'd recommend you to add some punctuation too, but that's not too essential. I enjoyed this poem nonetheless and hope that waiting will be worth it in the end. I wish you the best.

    Hi Josh,

I think you did an excellent job conveying your feelings. I'm sorry you are going through this, I know how you feel. It has happened to me before. Just keep strong, and keep on writing. It really helps.
