Freshman Year
start to realize the good and bad in life
lose friends and family
create a new beginning
and amazing unforgettable memories.
Now it's your time to shine,
the image you portray of yourself today
is what you're going to be referred to.
Teenage girls start to realize;
boys don't really have cooties.
Girls lose many boyfriends
and its hard to bare,
the thoughts of seeing them again.
Suddenly we figure out
there are bigger losses in life,
than hopeless boys.
One of the hardest things I've lost,
was a very valuable gift.
A stunning diamond necklace
I received on Valentine's Day,
but I accidently forgot it
at my ex-boyfriends.
Now we don't talk and
I still haven't got it back from him.
If you live today to the fullest
a loss tomorrow or in the near-by future,
will become a little less hard
to take to the heart.
