If

by bloody bones   Jan 12, 2012

If every tear could shed a memory.
If every cut could rid some pain.
If every step could bring me farther,
From this silent, rainy grey.
If every drawing could be crumpled.
If every line could be erased.
If every thought could make me think,
Of anything but this place.
If every beating made me stronger.
If every dream took me another state.
If every heartbeat makes me live longer,
Why so long have I been this way?
If every strange look made things simpler.
If every bad thought bade goodbye.
If every whisper was a wish,
Then, would I wish to die.
