Transformation of Love

by The Nameless Poet   Jan 14, 2012

If I wrote her a poem,
Would she fall for me?

If I called her phone,
Would she talk to me?

No we weren't friends,
I barely even knew her.

I knew her brother though,
I hoped he'd introduce her.

She was the kind of girl,
All the guys wanted.

A diamond in the rough,
Designed by an artist.

When she would walk by,
I use to wave at her.

sometimes I'd say hi,
and try to hang after.

It took a long time,
Before we finally kicked it.

But it was worth the wait,
and I wondered if it...

Would lead to something more,
committment or just benefits.

Either or because neither one I could resist.

But she's to beautiful,
and I'm just some average kid.

Than one night she kissed my lips, it was soft and passionate.

A night worth being called perfect that ended to quickly.
Moving in a month, wishing she could come with me.

We stayed in contact, now ten years later.
She's my best friend, and I love her even greater.

At times I even hate her, but mostly I just love her
Cause she's mostly always there to love me like no other.
