Letter 40 "Rhapsody"

by Marcus blake   Jan 15, 2012

Feelings they weigh so heavy on any mind
I'd like to think differently with you
Where confusion takes root I'd like to think you shed light on
In the midst of pain you remind one why suffering is meaningful
Above all else i see ways to a heart in your eyes I've never known
Wondering where your kind comes from how you came to be
If compassion were that simple how you seem to show that perfectly
Things that relate to you like your beauty echo across everything you are
Realizing how value reflects a persons integrity as I've seen you do
Noticing how deep character truly is beyond ones lust
Reaching toward an understanding of who we are, as I see myself a stranger to you
I remark at how you've befriended me and I thank you
