Letter 43 "Solstice"

by Marcus blake   Jan 15, 2012

Rarity is a value we could never understand
As I can never remember the beginning or the end
Yet, I find myself with you, infatuated by you, taken by you
Needing some feeling as if no heart beats within me
What whole lives without purpose, without reason
Beauty like yours changes the currents of time
Though lust never ends well but nothing ever does, end well...
In your eyes I see something beyond this synthetic life
Feelings expressed never die as they run deep
What life could ever be so kind as to let things be as they were
Love could never be so simple, you could never be so kind yet, you were...
You were all the things fate wouldn't allow, all the things my soul desired
Unknown to a heart enclosed by skin but feelings alone break though that
Feelings broke my pain and brought me love in the form of you
A gentle smile, a precious thing I'd like to hold on to

Great poem, I really love your word choice I think this poem is really good, it makes the readers think about love and what it means and that what makes this a good piece.
