Letter 46 "Cherish"

by Marcus blake   Jan 15, 2012

Meeting though mutual coincidence and through the hands of fate, friends
Seeing life though different eyes yet it is all the same, feeble
Though I sense a vision of humanity in your words, your actions
On the edge of reality I hold on to your thought, and through the darkness I grab your glimmer
Chains were always said to be the ultimate from of imprisonment, as I feel chained to my moments
Too never see you sad, and never at all, though I know you as much as I ever wanted...
I see portions of happiness in each smile you make, in ever word your write
The people who surround you, the life you live, the things that make you special
Fate draws me toward someone like you, though I know fate always has a price for such beauty
Through the emptiness of this rotting world I see you, the one real thing breathing, alive
In the midst of my dreams taking over, I hear your voice and though I've never heard it, I hear it from your soul
Sad things befall all people in this world, as I know more than others, others more than me
Yet I cherish the moments of knowing of you as brief as they were, and are
Such beauty absolves all the fantasy formed through ones eyes
So when I see you everything is clear to me, again...
