Beautiful Beginning

2010.

As she blossoms from my nucleus
I hold her in my arms
Tears of compassion
Fill my lucid, crystal eyes
Speechless, I'm mystified

In wedlock they bring fulfillment to our lives
In smiles we are appreciative
Of the bundle of joy that arrives
And forever we remain

In their elfin framework
They amuse our hearts with
Their innocent muffled cries and
Their adorable toothless smiles

So naive they turn out
In this vindictive cosmos
But to them everywhere
Is a pleasant site

Fragile they are and appear
Engorged paps they deflate
And smirk in satisfaction
While we watch in delight

As I observe her in her cradle
She sleeps peacefully in her radiant
Petite cot, unknowingly she smiles
And I smile to myself to this beautiful conception

I then appreciate my mum
After experiencing what I call
An excruciating but sweet soreness
I turn in smiles to my mum
For my beautiful beginning

    Thanks dear, mothers are the backbone in every family. I believe any lady will appreciate her mother, the more, after experiencing the joys and pains attached to it. I'm grateful for your comment, ;-) ..

    This poem is very lovely. I love how you wrote about a newborn, and the joy children bring to our lives. I love kids, so this poem really touched me and made me feel happy and I hope to have kids of my own one day! It also made me appreciate my mom <3

    Your descriptions were like a breath of fresh air. I really enjoyed this poem.
