Have You Ever

by ThirdParty   Jan 18, 2012

Have you ever been the 'other guy?'
The one who have to be satisfied
With the stolen moments
And the stolen kisses

Have you ever waited whole day
For her call, or for her to come knocking to your door
When it seems like she's not coming, you'll cry
But when she does, you'll smile

Have you ever seen her with her boyfriend?
And you have to introduce yourself as a 'friend'
You can't be jealous when you see them hand in hand
Because she's not really yours
She's never yours but his

Have you ever wanted something from her?
But you know you should never demand
You should never expect
You should never assume

Have you ever wondered if there's more to your relationship?
Yet you can't ask because you know your limits
You already know where you stand
And you just have to play your role right

Have you ever felt guilty?
Of being the 'third party'
But still you want to be selfish
Because you love her so much

I love you so much...
