Heaven to hell

by Haley Elizabeth   Jan 23, 2012

Once an angel, one that was sent from heaven.
Now a devil that was sent from hell.
Her wings are torn and tattered,
as the beast rips them to shreds.
Right off her back the god from Hell takes her wings,
black as midnight the marks from her lost wings are.
Scars that are as soft as a puppy, yet as ugly as a battle wound,
they lie where her wings met her back.
Pushing the angel the devil takes her place.
Leaving her to collapse onto her knees,
lost, distoryed, no longer that angel that was sent from heaven.
she sobs as the beast, the devil, tortures her.
Beaten until she can fight no more,
the beast leaves the helpless angel behind.
Sobbing for what feels like her last breath,
letting the devil believe he had won.
Still strong the angel stands up for one last fight,
not giving up until the beast has paid for what he has done.
Remembering who she is at the last minute,
reminding herself that she's not a beast.
She's something more.
She leaves the devil I would her dust,
never once looking back.
Always, she will remember that fight.
The one that gave her those scars that pain her,
the one that she almost lost.
