Forever...

Ill care for you forever,
i'l be yours forever,
We'll be together forever,
i'll love you forever.

Does forever signify eternity?
you seemed to say it with such certainty.
Yet somehow, you're no more there,
and memories, are all we share.

Even if my brain knew better,
My stupid heart, believed in the forever.
Every moment, we spent embracing,
I couldn't help, but count my blessing.

If you didn't mean it, why bother promising?
It would have been easier, to avoid this feeling.
However, it sounded so good in the other lifetime,
the one in which i believed, the sun would forever shine,
the one in which, i lived on cloud nine.
