The Duo

by Yakori bint Muhammed   Feb 3, 2012

13th June, 2011.

This is a dedication to all couples.

A new dawn has emerged for you
A book launched
A life established
A chapter you compile annually
A page you script daily
A mesmeric moment

Like the moon and the stars
You find a mate
To chuckle and sob with
In glee and gloom
To simmer and dine with
To bloom into ripeness

A tale of two, it chirps
The euphonic hummingbird
Sprinkle a dose of romance
Pour a glass of affection
Serve a plate of Love
Digest with a platter of tolerance

Flames of day and night arrive
Bringing endless beauty
Etched bonds rekindle the heart
Cheerful minds wander dazed
Fusion of the duo has wrought
The news of a visitor, cry of a baby

Duo, stay as one
Breathe as your last
Smile like a toddler
Build your space
Dwell as residents
To meet together as one in the final destination
