Uncivilized nature

by Merdy   Feb 3, 2012

The city was so brilliant it seemed removed from the lies of reality. Even the moon appeared unnatural. Car lights buzzed around like fireflies. He felt that the world outside was throbbing to music, he felt again the constant terror that lives deep inside all Americans. For as he gazed out, he could not help but wonder what would happen to the world if some calamity befell it. He saw his face reflecting in the glass. Superimposed on it were the flickering lights of several large buildings. People were madly gyrating on his face, dancing, drinking, making love. If he were to move his face aside... All the demented people in all those buildings would collapse.

( the implications of these sentences are probably not understood, and considered unstable. The precarious nature of apparent stability is clear to me, for I have lived through decade of psychological trauma.)
