Burning

by Tracie   Feb 10, 2012

The sharp pain that penetrates your skin
Your eternal sin
Leaving blurry visions and meaningless dreams
Frayed at the seams..

You feel numb except for pain in your mind
You want to cry out, but you can't reach me
You give me the blame
Its like a crushing weight thats inevitable
The pressure you cast on me is incredible..

Does everything mean nothing to you?
Sneaking up from behind
My happiness suddenly dies
Am i your addiction to the rhyme
The keeper of your secrets
You the door, no one even cares to open
Lay your head on the floor
Your no more
Your pain etched in ice
Your loneliness foretold
A useless heart left unsold..

Some good byes are simply meant to be
Your the angel that unlocked my heart
But turned and threw the key
The mask you gave me i still concededly wear
A broken heart, with a constant tear..

I dont need your words to break me
I dont need your hand or comfort
On my own i stand
You are blinded
Binded with a thread of hate..

Soothing sweet memories now burn the skin
Often silence results in pain
Im the drug you need again and again
Your body wont ever be the same
I fill your veins
Watching as you fall to the floor
Then turn and walk away.
