Old teenage love

Should have never let you go,
all those years gone.
How was i to know,
your love for me went on.
You should have searched me out,
because i still loved you.
And our lives would be so different now,
no trouble to go through.
But that's all in the past,
it feels like before.
Teenage love,
even though we are.
Older than forty four!
Age is no barrier,
for what we feel.
Love at any stage in life,
can be a love for real.

    We cant look back at what could have been. We have had 18 yrs of good times bringing up children, with alot of heart ache in the mix. Its now time to look to the future and remember the past. Things happen for a reason. What has happened to me has made me a stronger more tolerant person, as im sure you are. X
