Valentines Revenge

by Jeff Weiner   Feb 12, 2012

Her lover knocked upon the door
She opened it with eyes wide,
Only to get more than expected
as he pushed her inside,

Falling down seeing what he held
screaming at the sight,
A bow and arrow pointing down
as he smiled with delight,

Valentines day may be your last
he said pulling the arrow back,
This is for all the men you've teased
and the care that you lack,

Looking into her teary eyes he asked
why should I let you live,
Pleading as she scurried back
because I have Love to give,

You dont know the meaning of the word
as he let the arrow fly,
Hitting her in the chest it disintegrated
while he smiled watching her cry,

The arrow was as false as your Love
He turned and walked out the door,
leaving her laying in a puddle of tears
happy to have evened the score

This is a very interesting story.
In fact, the roles could be reversed as the man getting shot at with the arrow too.... Not that it would be very logical but the concept is the same...
Very strong emotionally, You can truly feel what the characters do.

I really enjoyed this poem. 5/5 Great Job!
