Futile

I guess
I've always known
it would end like this..

I'm here,tracing
the footsteps of all
the moments we spent..

trying hard to
keep the tears in
although, I don't think
I'm strong enough..

while you,
are probably putting
your soft hair behind
your ears,looking outside
the window and thinking

..of someone else..

I could say
that I miss your
skin on mine
but that won't bring you back..

I wonder if you've
forgotten,that I was
the one who loved
you at all times,

all times, my darling

even though,

you've never been very lovable..

    This to me was the :( of parts. The fact that this person may be loving someone else while you are loving them. Heartbreaking!!!

    Yaki, I love reading poems like this...
    Its sort of like listening to Adele, it's heartbreaking and emotional but really beautiful too,
    Its one of those poems that I think is relatable and not at all cliche for this time of year. ie: Lovey dovey valentines writes
