Trying to feel your warmth...

by Mr Rhee   Feb 16, 2012

At times, when I wake at night, I turn to
look to your pillow, to see if you're there.
I'll watch you sleep, I always have.

Sometimes, you're not there.
I look for you anyway.
I touch the spot where your head would lay,
trying to feel your warmth...

I have this vivid memory of you.
I remember the very first time
I looked into your eyes,
for the hundredth time that night.

I realized, that you were looking into mine,
for the very first time, and you were smiling,
like you've never smiled before.
Please, come back.

I know that feeling all too well. I've been missing someone that was close to me, and this hits hard. Great work.

    Indeed a beautiful poem...:)
the poem does emote your true feeling for that special someone and your longing to get her back as you realise her absence and feel her touch and love through her material things....!!

Good start and good end...wordings were good as well...
