Impossibly Bound

by Emily Jamie   Feb 16, 2012

When I saw you in the hall,
I couldn't help but stop and stare,
Watching you as you stood there.

Knowing someone else has you,
Just makes my heart ache.
Just what was my terrible mistake?

I shouldn't have told you.
I should have just lied.
Is it better to keep everything locked up inside?

I'm writing this now,
As tears splash the page,
I am slowly filled with rage.

Nothing I ever say makes it right,
Why even try to fight?
I should just give up and let you go.

But easy as it sounds,
My heart is wrapped around.
Impossibly, you have me bound.
