Wedding day

by Midnight Vanity   Feb 23, 2012

The light begins to fade
as they are driving on the road
She was so happy that he asked her on a date
They drove an old chevy truck
He asked what she wanted to do
It was early one Friday morning
She said she didn't care
They have been dating over a year now
All she wanted to do was be with him
He took her to a flea market
He held her hand the entire time
He offered to buy her anything
They were almost out of high school
Less than a month
He planned to buy a ring while he was there
He asked if they could seperate for a minute
Relucantly she agreed
She was gonna get him a present anyway
He found the perfect ring
It's diamonds were in the shape of a heart
He would have to work hard to pay it off
After he bought it he put it in his pockey
He went to find her
He ran into a guy
That was needing some money
The guy shot him in the leg
Everyone gathered aroung him
As he bled in the floor
But the guy wasn't finished
He stole all the money he had
The only thing he left was the ring
His girlfriend heard the news
She rode in the ambulance with him
Nothing happened bad to him
He just would have a limp
The day after he got out of the hospital
He took the girl to the park
Near a waterfall
He proposed to her
She said yes
Skip forward a few months
It's the day of the wedding
She was so excited
She had news to tell everyone during recption
He never showed
Everyone waited for hours
He was gone
She ran out of the room crying
It wasn't the first time she was left
She has been on her own since she was thirteen
Her parents left her
They just sent her money
This time she was alone
With a child inside her
His body was found the next day
She felt terrible
He had sent her a message on the way
He told her he would be late
That he knew about the baby
He was proud to be a father
A drunk driver had hit him
It was on the message
The last thing she heard was his scream
She broke down
At the funeral she kissed his dead lips
And slipped the ring on his cold hands
She slipped him a note that said she would see him again
Their daughter was born
6 months later
She named her Hope Faith
she hoped she would see her husband once more
She had faith
