Loving Me

Tried to love you
But I couldn't even love myself
Mostly because loving you, filled me with shame

When it was good
Oh how good it was
But when it was bad...
I prayed for release
Sometimes even death
It just seemed easier

My life never was about easy though
I doubt anyones really is
But we strive for it

To find that one who makes it easy
Maybe not painless
But worth it
Someone who sees you
Beyond the mask
Walls

One who doesn't see any of it as an obstacle
But an opportunity
To grow with you
Inside of you
Around you
