Tears run down her face
as her heart begins to race.

She tries to drown out the noise
but the yelling becomes louder.

Edging her on more and more
with the slamming of the door.

And with that she stand and runs
she cannot take it anymore.

Time is in her hands
in front of the other her foot lands.

But in her mind
she still hears the cries.

Of a broken family
filled with tortuous lies.

This does not matter
for she does not care.

She will be forever gone
once the sky's break dawn.
