Touch of voice

by Muran   Mar 2, 2012

I was so eager to call you,
To say in your ears,
Congratulations,
Not just that,
may be more than that,
may be hug you and kiss you,
and say, you did it my girl,
you won a world under your feet,
get connected with our hearts,
from thousands of miles away,
Share the most joyous moments,
Together and to flow to each other,
you chat back you are busy,
have to take few calls,
and will ping me back,
Definitely, there must be a crowd,
Waiting to praise you,
To shook your hands,
To sweet your tongue,
You deserve everything,
Your phone must be ringing endlessly,
People must be waiting for their turn,
They are sharing your victory,
Your life is important for them,
You may be crying to few,
The pains and stress always haunted,
The anxieties you tasted,
The struggles you crashed,
The obstructions you overcome,
The nights you never slept,
How difficult it was to get through,
All these years, finally you got through,
You must be thanking their support,
And continuous encouragement they extended,
You may be touching the palms of elders,
For their prayers and blessings,
You must be enjoying a joy of lifetime.
It was past midnight,
but you never ping me back,
I did try again, few times,
But there was no response,
Finally I learned,
I don't deserve to call you,
To tell you in your ears,
What my heart feels about your success,
And the touch of your voice,
I looked at the stars, they closed their eyes.
