The Girl on the Outside

by Alissa   Mar 3, 2012

It's like I'm standing on the outside,
watching everyone so naturally.
Like I'm trying to confom,
but things turn out disasterously.

I'm trying to be useful,
create some kind of purpose.
But I'm put in my place,
scowled like I'm worthless.

Everyone forgets,
forgets the girl on the sideline.
No one remembers,
the girl on the outside.

I love the rhymes. It is so beautiful. Definitely in the right category. Poem about life.

I'm sure many people do not forget the girl on the outside/sideline. Especially those that are on the same side as that girl. Conforming is overrated by the way, must say that being the one who stands outside the box is the way to go.

Amazingly done :) Glad to see some poems after such a long wait. Though definitely worth the suspense.
