Innocence

by Ashley   Mar 6, 2012

I yearn for the days once missed the days of young innocence.
Were I would look you in the eyes and being told to play outside. So as not to take witness of what was being played out inside.
I've now come to see and be witness to what was really happening now
My only way of escape is in my new reality of my music.
I miss these days and want them back so much,
oh the things that I would do to turn back the hands of time and stay in my young sweet innocent childhood.
But sadly that will never happen I am now placed in front of this all the time every day.

But if only!

Where did my young innocence go? Why are they so far away and out of my reach? I guess I've lost my innocence

Nice poem but I don't understand the first line.

I long for the days once missed the days of young innocence.

Other than that, it is quite good.

Meaning as you get older everything is different you are not as innocence as you once were and that never comes back. With what i said it is to do with being unaware of what is really going on in the adult world and a mother and father fighting, then when u are older you see and understand all
