A Dream, Then Awake

by AJ Goodpaster   Mar 12, 2012

Music fills my soul,
And releases from thine mouth.
Anger fills my head,
And releases from thine south.

Poppies fill thy head,
And make sleep in my reach.
As I lay down upon rest,
I imagin a soft soothing beach.

Stars shoot like guns,
In the sky made of valentine.
As the roses cover me,
Like a bundle of red vines.

A dream like state,
Forever I shall stay here.
Drink from the well,
No water, Just amber beer.

Alarm goes off beside me,
I wake to red numbers of glowing six.
I head over to starbucks,
To get my sugar, caffine fix.
