Plugged In.

by Megan   Mar 13, 2012

My anger lingers in this emptiness,
Swirling thoughts
With no beginning or end.
Plug in.

Silent vessels walk this stretch,
Faceless master in hand.
The faux connection.
Plug in.

I try to break the hold it has,
Struggle with it's lightning grip.
The static holds me close.
Plug in.

Unaware, they waste away.
Electronic slaves.
Forever compelled to
Plug in.

The way to sever the connection
Lies within my hands.
They tremble and fail.
I plug in.
